Enrollment Process

Step 1: Create an account for our Enrollment Portal.

  • Through the Parent Enrollment Portal, you can complete your online application, receive real-time updates, and track your admissions status every step of the way.

Eligibility Requirements

Pathfinder Career Academy of Ohio serves full-time students in grades 6-12 who meet the requirements of this policy and who are residents of the state of Ohio.

PROOF OF STUDENT IDENTITY & GUARDIANSHIP: Copy of your child’s birth certificate (official or hospital-issued) showing the child’s legal name, place and date of birth, and legal guardian(s). If the birth certificate is not available, your alternate option is a combination of Proof of Guardianship (court documentation) and Proof of Identity (child’s passport or birth affidavit).

PROOF OF RESIDENCY: Documentation that proves the residency of the student and his/her primary parent/legal guardian. When the child lives with the legal guardian and the proof of residency documentation is in the legal guardian’s name any one of these documents is accepted. If you are unable to provide any of the below documents, contact the school office.

• Utility Bill (electric, gas, water, or sewer); Resident name and property address must appear on the bill; Must be dated within 90 days of enrollment. Please note that disconnect notices, final bill statements, and billing envelopes are not accepted.

• Mortgage Statement; Resident name and property address must appear on the statement; Must be dated within 90 days of enrollment.

• Lease or Rental Agreement that specifies the start and end date of the agreement; must be dated and include names and signatures of the lessee and the lessor (typically this is the first and last pages of the agreement).

• Original Mortgage/Closing Paperwork such as the Housing & Urban Development (HUD) Statement; Resident name and property address must appear on the statement.

• Pay Stub that includes employer name and address; also, must have guardian’s name, and address and be dated.

• Bank Statement; must show Legal Guardian’s name, and current physical address and be dated within 30 days

• Active Military Orders; must show Legal Guardian’s name and current physical address

• An Affidavit of Residency must be completed in the presence of a Notary Public. The Notary Public must sign and seal the affidavit within 30 days of the registration forms being submitted, and the original, hard copy affidavit must be submitted.

What does it cost TO ENROLL?

Pathfinder Career Academy of Ohio is a public school, and there is no tuition associated with enrollment. 

WHAT GRADES ARE OFFERED BY THE SCHOOL?

Pathfinder Career Academy of Ohio serves grades 6-12.

WHAT SUBJECTS WILL MY CHILD TAKE?

We offer traditional core and elective courses options depending on the grade level. 

WILL MY STUDENT HAVE AN OHIO-CREDENTIALED TEACHER?

Yes. Our teachers hold current Ohio teaching credentials.

DOES THE SCHOOL SUPPLY COURSE MATERIALS?

Our school provides a school Chromebook to every student for the duration of the student’s schooling. The school-provided computer is requested during the online enrollment process. Student must also have access to reliable, high-speed internet connection.

Frequently Asked Questions

Students follow a career-focused learning pathway and work toward earning industry-recognized credentials aligned with today’s most in-demand fields. At Pathfinder, these credentials include Lean Six Sigma, RISE Up, Microsoft Office, and OSHA certifications.

Pathfinder Career Academy of Ohio is a tuition-free public school. There are no enrollment or tuition fees.

Students have the flexibility to complete their coursework at times that best fit their daily schedules. However, they are still expected to meet the deadlines set by their teachers and course requirements.

Students log in and submit work daily, Monday through Friday. While live lessons with other students are available and encouraged, they are not mandatory. If a student is unable to attend live sessions, they can complete their coursework at any time during the day—as long as assignments are submitted by their due dates. Your student may see classmates on camera during live lessons, but cameras are only required to be on during tests or when requested by a teacher or staff member.

Pathfinder follows the Ohio Department of Education standards, including the rigorous Career Tech standards. Our advisory boards, made up of industry professionals, regularly review the curriculum to ensure students receive relevant, career-focused instruction. While enrolled, students can earn CTE concentrator or completer status as defined by the Ohio Department of Education.
