Academic Overview
At Pathfinder Career Academy of Ohio, students will receive an online public school curriculum that focuses on career exploration, career development, and college or career preparation. PCA’s framework aligns our academies and majors to the rigorous Ohio Department of Education standards, including those set for Career Tech Education. Students will explore their interests through project-based learning, engaging activities, and appropriate assessments before picking an area of study in high school.
Middle School
While in middle school, students will explore multiple industries through research and investigation of in-demand careers. Students will learn the skills needed to become contributing members of their community through the development of relationship-building skills. We strive to provide a relevant, engaging, and challenging curriculum that is developmentally appropriate, meets their individual needs, and prepares them for high school.
High School
Students have the opportunity to specialize in a chosen career field through admission into one of our career or college academies. While enrolled, Students will develop a career portfolio to gather and manage career-related information and goals. They will have the opportunity to apply essential workplace skills through internships, externships, co-ops, etc. With multiple paths to success, students have the opportunity to gain a competitive advantage against their peers, whether that includes college, career or both.
